Quiet day on the Brewers front, good article on JSOnline on what the Brewers need to do this offseason to get back to the 90 win mark and get back in the playoff hunt. Here's a spoiler...it involves pitching.
The Bucks came to Green Bay last night, wish I would have known so I could see how many of them I would actually recognize on the court. Even though it was preseason basketball, and Da Bulls were without PG Derrick Rose, we still won the game. It looks like the replacement refs are getting in shape for the regular season as well too...
"The replacement referees, working in place of the locked out NBA officials, provided an entertaining moment in the third quarter, with an assist from Skiles. After Bucks guard Luke Ridnour went up to block a shot by Hinrich and was called for a foul, Skiles walked directly onto the court and gave the “T” sign with his hands, effectively giving himself a technical. Then referee Corey McCray obliged by whistling a technical on the coach, who was standing right next to him."If there was a Fantasy League for Officials, (Sportscenter mentions it all the time, it would be a great idea) Corey McCray would be a hot target on the Free Agent wire right now.
Lastly, it's a Sunday, but the Packers have a bye week and go against the Detroit Lions next week. Here's a list of stuff that the Packers should get done this week.
- Resign Mark Tauscher
- Cut Allen Barbre
- If Options 1 or 2 do not work, get a big heavy wooden desk, put where the RT spot is, and that should do a better job than Allen Barbre has done so far.
- Oh yeah, don't lose to the Lions.....
